Sales
Orders placed on our website are subject to these Terms & Conditions.
You must be over 18 to purchase from us. When you place an order, you enter into a contract of sale with Peep Eyewear. Weβll send an email confirming receipt of your order, followed by a dispatch confirmation once your order has been completed and shipped.
We sell to customers in the UK and internationally (excluding regions we cannot ship to). We reserve the right to refuse service where necessary, although we aim to be as helpful as possible.
TRYATHOME β Home Try-On Code
The TRYATHOME code is designed to make it easier to try frames at home before deciding what to keep or have fitted with lenses.
How it works:
Add 3 or more home try-on frames to your basket
Use code TRYATHOME at checkout
Pay a reduced upfront amount (instead of full price)
This is not a discount β it simply reduces your upfront cost while deciding.
After your try-on:
Return all frames β full refund of Β£100
Keep one or more β frame value deducted, remaining balance refunded
Proceed with lenses β Β£100 applied to final order total
Important:
Valid on home try-on frames only
Not valid on lenses, services, or accessories
Designed to simplify the process, not reduce final pricing
Prices
All prices are in Pound Sterling (Β£) and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are added at checkout.
Prices may change at any time but wonβt affect orders already placed.
Payment
Full payment is required before your order is processed and dispatched.
Cancellations (Before Dispatch)
You may cancel your order before dispatch by contacting us.
If work has already started on made-to-order items, cancellation may not be possible or may be subject to a charge.
Returns & Refunds
We want you to be happy with your eyewear β if somethingβs not right, weβll always do our best to help.
Standard (Non-Custom) Items
You can return standard, non-custom items within 14 days of receiving them for a refund, provided:
They are unused and in resalable condition
Returned with original packaging where possible
Refunds are processed once items are received and checked.
Custom & Made-to-Order Items (Non-Refundable)
Some items are made specifically for you and cannot be resold. These are non-refundable once production has begun.
This includes:
Prescription lenses
Non-prescription lenses that are customised, including:
FL-41 or other specialist tints
Anti-reflective or other coatings
Lenses cut and shaped to a specific frame
Reglazing (fitting lenses into any frame)
Repairs, polishing, or frame modifications
These items are classed as bespoke / made-to-order and are exempt from cancellation rights under Consumer Contracts Regulations once work has started.
Important Clarification
Even where no prescription is provided, lenses are still considered custom if they are:
Tinted
Coated
Cut to fit a specific frame
As a result, they cannot be returned or refunded once made.
If Something Isnβt Right
If thereβs an issue with your glasses (fit, vision, or quality), please contact us.
We will:
Check measurements and specifications
Advise on adjustments or next steps
Offer solutions where appropriate
Our goal is to make sure your glasses work properly for you.
Working With Existing Lenses & Frames
When working with customer-supplied lenses or frames (including tinting, coating removal, reglazing or adjustments), we are working with items that have already been manufactured, worn, and treated β often by other labs.
Because of this, outcomes cannot be predicted with certainty.
Customer-supplied items are accepted and worked on at the customerβs own risk, and no guarantee of outcome is provided.
It is the customerβs responsibility to ensure items submitted are suitable for the service requested.
We reserve the right to decline or stop work at any stage if we believe the item is not suitable or the risk of damage is too high.
Coatings & Lens Preparation
Some services require the removal of existing coatings before further work can be carried out.
This process is necessary in order to proceed with tinting or further treatments.
In most cases, this process is successful. However, depending on the lens material, age, and original coating, results can vary and cannot be guaranteed.
Possible outcomes include:
Fine surface marks or βcrazingβ
Changes in clarity
Reduced cosmetic finish
Structural or surface failure of the lens
In some cases, lenses may become unsuitable for continued use following this process.
What This Means
By proceeding with this type of work, you acknowledge and accept that:
The process is carried out at your request to enable further treatment
There is an inherent and unavoidable risk due to unknown material properties and prior treatments
Outcomes cannot be guaranteed, even when all care is taken
A perfect or factory-new result cannot be guaranteed
Results are based on restoring functional usability rather than cosmetic perfection
If Things Donβt Go to Plan
If a process does not go as expected, we will:
Review the outcome carefully
Explain clearly what has happened
Offer practical next steps to restore a usable solution
This may include replacement options at a reduced cost where appropriate.
Important
While we take every care when working with customer-supplied lenses and frames, we cannot guarantee outcomes when modifying existing materials.
By proceeding with services such as coating removal, tinting, reglazing or adjustments, you acknowledge and accept that:
There is an inherent risk of damage due to unknown factors in the original lenses or frames
Lenses or frames may become damaged or unusable during these processes
This risk exists even when procedures are carried out correctly and with care
Peep Eyewear is not liable for the cost of replacing customer-supplied items if they become damaged or unusable
This applies regardless of the original value, brand, or prescription
We are not responsible for pre-existing weaknesses, stress points, or prior damage
All work is carried out with care and on a best-effort basis
Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided.
Shipping & Responsibility
Customers are responsible for ensuring items sent to us are securely packaged and sent via a tracked and, where appropriate, insured service.
Peep Eyewear is not liable for items lost or damaged in transit to us.
Website Display
We do our best to display colours and finishes accurately, but they may vary slightly depending on your screen.
Offers & Discounts
Offers and discount codes are subject to terms and may change at any time. Only one code can be used per order.
Pupillary Distance (PD) & Optical Measurements
We take all measurements required for your lenses, including PD and optical centres, based on how the frame fits your face.
These measurements:
Are specific to each pair of glasses
Form part of the dispensing process, not your prescription
Can vary between different frames
For this reason, we do not provide these measurements to third parties.
If you order lenses again in future, we will take fresh measurements to ensure accuracy.
