Repairs – FAQs
This page is our Repairs Hub — it explains what we repair and how it works. To book and pay for a repair, please use our Repair Shop.
Can glasses be repaired?
Often, yes — it depends on the damage and the frame type. Simple fixes like loose screws, nose pads & pad arms or adjustments are usually straightforward. For breaks (hinges, bridges, rims), we’ll assess your photos and confirm the best option before you post anything.
Do you repair spectacles in the UK?
Yes — we’re a nationwide post-in glasses repair service. You send your glasses to us, we repair them, then return them back to you.
Do you repair sunglasses and designer frames?
Yes — sunglasses, designer and vintage pieces included. We’ll advise the most sympathetic repair approach before work begins.
Can you repair titanium or metal frames?
Often, yes. For many metal and some titanium breaks, see our Solder Repair page to book. Titanium repairs are case-by-case depending on stress points and the exact alloy — we’ll confirm from photos first.
Can you repair rimless / drilled / semi-rimless (nylon cord) glasses?
Yes — we repair drilled rimless frames and semi-rimless “supra / nylon cord” frames. Book Rimless Repairs for drilled work, or Supra / Nylon Cord if the cord has snapped or stretched.
My plastic frame is cracked or the bridge has snapped — what then?
Many plastic breaks can be repaired or stabilised. See Snapped Bridge and Bonding + Heat Shrink for options.
What kinds of repairs do you offer?
Hinges, custom screws, nose pads & pad arms, end tips, replacement sides, snapped bridges, rimless repairs & supra cord, adjustments & fitting, ultrasonic deep clean — and reglazing if you’d like new lenses while your frame is in.
How much do repairs cost?
Prices depend on the repair type. Many common repairs sit in the £40–£90 range, with more complex work priced higher. You’ll see the exact price on each repair product in the Repair Shop, and we’ll confirm anything unusual before work begins.
How long do postal repairs take (including postage)?
Most repairs are typically 7–10 working days from receipt (often faster), plus your delivery time each way. Simple services can be quicker; parts sourcing can take longer — we’ll keep you updated.
How do I send in my glasses?
Order first (so you have an order number), complete the Frame Check-In Form, then post your glasses with your name + order number in the parcel.
Can I keep my existing lenses?
Often, yes. Where lenses are in good condition, we can usually refit them after repair. If you’d like new lenses (including FL-41, tinting, or prescription updates), just note it on the Check-In Form and we’ll advise.
What if my glasses can’t be fixed?
If a frame is beyond repair, we’ll advise alternatives (for example fitting your lenses into a similar frame). If we can’t proceed, we refund the labour (minus return p&p).
Can you fit new lenses during a repair?
Yes — request it on the Check-In Form and we’ll quote alongside the repair (single vision, varifocal, thin indices, coatings, or FL-41 for light sensitivity).
How do I book a glasses repair online?
Go to the Repair Shop, choose your repair type, checkout to get an order number, complete the Frame Check-In Form, then post your glasses.
