Repairs – FAQs

This page is our Repairs Hub — it explains what we repair and how it works. To book and pay for a repair, please use our Repair Shop.

Can glasses be repaired?

Often, yes — it depends on the damage. Simple fixes like loose screws, nose pads & pad arms or adjustments are usually quick. For breaks (hinges, bridges, rims), we’ll assess your photos and confirm the best option.

Do you repair spectacles in the UK?

Yes — we’re a nationwide post-in glasses repair service. Send us your frames and we’ll return them repaired. Our 5★ service covers most frame types.

Do you repair sunglasses and designer frames?

Yes — sunglasses, designer and vintage pieces included. We’ll advise the most sympathetic repair approach before work begins.

My metal frame is broken — can that be fixed?

Often yes. See our Solder Repair page for metal (including titanium) work and to book.

My plastic frame is cracked or the bridge has snapped — what then?

Many plastic breaks can be repaired or stabilised. See Snapped Bridge and Bonding + Heat Shrink for options.

What kinds of repairs do you offer?

Hinges & screws, nose pads & pad arms, snapped bridges, rimless repairs & supra cord, adjustments & end tips, ultrasonic deep clean — and reglazing if you’d like new lenses while your frame is in.

How much do repairs cost?

Repairs start from £40, or £50 if you’d like us to include a deep ultrasonic clean at the same time. We always confirm costs before work begins.

How long do repairs take?

Typically 7–10 working days from receipt (often faster). Please allow for parts sourcing on complex jobs.

How do I send in my glasses?

Place your order, complete the Frame Check-In Form, then post your glasses with your name + order number in the parcel. Postal details are on your confirmation.

What if my glasses can’t be fixed?

If a frame is beyond repair, we’ll advise alternatives (e.g., fitting your lenses into a similar frame). If we can’t proceed, we refund the labour (minus return p&p).

Can you fit new lenses during a repair?

Yes — request it on the Check-In Form and we’ll quote together (single vision, varifocal, thin indices, coatings, or FL-41 for light sensitivity).

How do I book a glasses repair online?

Go to the Repair Shop, choose your repair type, checkout to get an order number, complete the Frame Check-In Form, then post your glasses. That’s it.
