Snapped Bridge Repair

from £110.00
Bonding Type:
Deep Clean:

When the bridge of your glasses or sunglasses has broken, we offer several solutions depending on your budget and how long you want the frame to last:

Option 1 – Bonded Bridge Repair (£110, or £120 with deep clean)
We bond and pin the bridge from the inside. This is a functional “last chance saloon” option — not invisible, but strong enough to get you through to your next eye test.

Option 2 – Replacement Frame Front (£280)
If your frame model is still in production, we can source a brand-new front section and fit your existing sides and lenses. This restores the frame to near-new condition.

Option 3 – Handmade Custom Frame (from £520)
When replacement isn’t possible, we can recreate your broken frame as a handmade copy, crafted from Italian acetates. This takes around 12 weeks but gives you a permanent solution that matches the look and fit of your original.

Turnaround

  • Bonded repair: 1–2 weeks

  • Replacement front: 2–3 weeks (subject to parts availability)

  • Handmade replica: 12 weeks

How it works

  1. Place your order online to receive an order number.

  2. Complete the Frame Check-In Form (include photos if possible).

  3. Post your glasses with your name + order number in the parcel.

Shipping notes
Our address will be on your order confirmation. Please use a tracked service and include your name + order number — we also receive recycling frames and don’t want yours misrouted.

  2. Complete the Frame Check-In Form (upload clear photos of the bridge break).
  3. Post your glasses with your name + order number inside the parcel.

Snapped bridge – FAQs

Will a bonded bridge repair be visible?

We reinforce internally and colour-match as closely as possible. On some acetates a faint witness line may remain — we’ll advise after inspection.

Is the repair strong?

Bonding is designed to be durable for normal day-to-day use. Avoid high heat and rough handling to maximise longevity.

When would you recommend a custom / replacement front?

If the break is too close to the lens groove, the material is too brittle, or the bridge is missing pieces, a new front can be the safest long-term fix.
