Adjustments & fitting – FAQs
My frames sit wonky — can you level them?
Yes. We correct temple twist/splay and set hinge tension, then fine-tune nose and ear contact so they sit straight and stable.
They keep sliding down — will this help?
Usually, yes. We can add more ear curl, adjust pad width/angle, and set opening tension to reduce slip.
Do you adjust metal and acetate frames?
We work with both. Metal allows finer pad/temple shaping; acetate can be heat-set to hold the new position.
Can you adjust glasses bought elsewhere?
Yes — this service is for any pair that needs a proper fit, whether they were bought from Peep or not. Just add notes and photos on the Check-In Form so we know what to target.
Can you adjust varifocals — will it affect vision?
Yes, we can adjust varifocals. In fact, a proper fit often improves vision and comfort, because varifocals are sensitive to how the frame sits on the face. We adjust carefully and aim for balanced, stable positioning.
Will adjustments scratch or mark the frame?
We use protected tools and controlled heat. Light marks are uncommon; if an area is fragile, we’ll advise first.
