Bonding + heat shrink – FAQs

Is the heat-shrink sleeve visible?

Yes — it’s a neat black/clear sleeve over the repaired area. It’s designed for comfort and durability, not invisibility.

Is this suitable for skin allergies?

Many customers use it to cover irritating areas. If you have specific sensitivities, mention them on the Check-In Form and we’ll advise the best sleeve finish.

Will it affect side flexibility?

Not significantly in normal use. The sleeve protects the area and adds a touch of cushioning.

When should I choose replacement sides instead?

If the side is badly cracked, missing material, or structurally weak, Replacement Sides is the longer-term fix.
